New User Posting
All new users have a 'probationary period' in which they will not be able to create new threads or send private messages to other users. You must reply to threads until this period is finished. The period is a set number of days AND a set number of posts. These numbers are not disclosed, as we do not want people posting just to get past their probationary period.
I wish I had known about this sooner. I didn't realize it was a post threshold. I've had an account for years and was getting so frustrated that I still couldnt search or start a new thread. Should've been posting this whole time.
Hi, I joined recently and made my first post today. I'm looking to create a thread in the Madden 22 PC subforum asking about the Steam controller vs other controllers (There's no thread on pg 1 or 2 about controllers and I don't have permission to search or start threads). How do I fix? Thanks!

You need to reach a certain number of posts (the exact number is not revealed, but it isn't too many) in order to gain permission to start threads. This measure had to be put in place to deter spammers who would create accounts and spam the boards with multiple spam threads. So just keep contributing constructively to a few of the many discussions going on throughout the forums and your priveledges will unlock before too long. Search is disabled for most users due to limitations with the current forum software though a switch to newer software is currently in the works. See other threads in this section for more info.
