Permalink removed?

It's not that big of a deal, but I'm wondering what happened to it. I remember a few months back, when you clicked the post number in a thread, it would permalink to it instead of opening a new tab of just that post. Permalinking made it easy to keep track of what I've already read and haven't read yet.

Just wondering if it's gone, or am I missing something? I'm using Google Chrome.

I'm confused how you used it previously, it still works the same way it used to in that you could open that page and copy the link and use it to go to that direct post.


If you are just trying to go to the first unread post in a particular thread there are much easier ways to do that.

Hm. Interesting. When I used to click the post number, it would make a link that took you right to that post, instead of opening just that post in a new tab.

I guess my internet browser is weird. Lol But I noticed it stopped "working" and thought I'd ask.

As of now I try and memorize my page numbers. I bet you can imagine how well that works...

When in a forum (such as the MLB the show forum) all threads with unread posts by you will have a small blue icon to the left with a down carrot. Click on that and it will direct you to the first unread post.

That being said, since you use the browser with an ipad (if I'm not mistaken) I'm not sure if it would still work the same or not (I assume so, but it will be a small icon).

Note: I'm using "freaking" today in honor of watching the first Thief gameplay video this morning. Because, you know, nothing screams renaissance or Victorian like replacing the F-bomb with this classic SFW replacement.
