Profanity Filter
On a couple of other message boards that I have frequented in the past (which, by coincidence have all been replaced by OS), there was the option to turn the profanity filter on and off. While I am not a proponent of leveling the whole board with F-bombs on a consistent basis, I would rather have profane words visible when they are posted as it makes it easier to read the post rather than trying to decipher what the person was saying. Maybe I have too much faith in the OS community, but I don't think everyone would just immediately convert back to freshmen football locker room speak on a consistent basis. I could be wrong, but folks who wish not to see the language would keep the profanity filter at default (ON) in their Control Panel. So, is it possible with VB, and, if so, is this something that OS would rather not have? Thanks in advance and I respect any decision made.Back in the NCAA saddle after 17 years.Tags: None -
Re: Profanity Filter
I hate to say it, but if you're laying money on the ability of many OS users to act with maturity and self-restraint ... you're losing a ****load of money.

Re: Profanity Filter
Sadly, you're probably 100% correct. Oh, well. It isn't a big deal at all; I just wondered if the idea was ever tossed around.Originally posted by fossenI hate to say it, but if you're laying money on the ability of many OS users to act with maturity and self-restraint ... you're losing a ****load of money.

Re: Profanity Filter
I must have just missed the babe forum because I joined the same month as you and I don't remember a babe forum. Truth be told though, I know of a few places to find babes already. I don't see why it would be a big deal to have a babe forum.Originally posted by PsyblastI miss the Babe Forum....damn idiots.......*sob*Back in the NCAA saddle after 17 years.Comment

Ya, its really interesting to see so many people busy in the babe forum, when everyone could just access better stuff on the net or via download..Originally posted by shortsoldierI must have just missed the babe forum because I joined the same month as you and I don't remember a babe forum. I think it was more about the principle.Comment
