all my roster updates were in the top posts in that thread and each file i could up date whne i wanted!! its all nice and neat (lol)

Look, I understand what you want. I am not an idiot, I understand your request. Showing me more links does not educate me, as I already know what you want.

I, as forum admin of a board of almost 25,000 members, need to make the best decisions I can for the board as a whole. Were I able to allow unlimited edits in only the roster forums, I would do so. I cannot.

No one here knows the roster situation at OS better than I. I am fully aware of what a resource it is. Though this is a change, I feel it is in the best interests of the roster makers (and users) and OS as a whole.

whats the diff if the board has 25,000 members or just 25? i dont see one!!

i still just dont understand what the big deal is about editing posts. i'm not trying to be a pain just dont understand!!

they all ready mentioned it, but I can repeat: It removes any accountability for your posts, because people can just go back later and delete what they said, change it, or whatever. On a 25 person forum this might not be needed, but on a 25,000 member forum you have so many people, and with that large number there will be people who exploit unlimited editing. I agree, it sounds stupid to edit your posts days later like that, but people on forums do a lot of things I can't comprehend. That's why I very rarely see a forum that allows all users to edit posts like that.
