    This request seems rather random and out of the blue, and with no argument in support of your request I doubt it gets much consideration. I think that https stuff is more for sites on which you might be entering sensitive information such as online banking or shopping, and I'm not really sure it's warranted for a gaming forum.

        This would primarily be to protect your user's login credentials, which would also help keep their other accounts more safe by not exposing their (almost positively poor) password habits to anyone with a simple packet sniffer.

        Inb4 but this site's content isn't important and what dumb person would use a dumb password on every site?

        This is about protecting your users and their privacy (since private communications happen on message boards, keeping them private is imperative or its just false advertising).
