Re: Whats different in this new forum

What is better?? Well, plenty of things.

The Forums are now hosted on a very powerful server. Here are some specs.

Intel Dual Xeon 2.4 GHz (We were on a Celeron 1.7 GhHz)
2GB RAM (We did have 1 GB)
    2 x 73GB SCSI HD's (About the same)
2000 GB Monthly Transfer (We did have 1000 GB)

What all this means is that the Forums will run faster than they used to.

You will notice banners on the Forums, but in order for us to keep the hosting free, we need to put them up for our new host. I call it a fair deal. So instead of out of pocketing for the Forums, I wont have to pay for them as long as we stay.

As for the main site, I will continue to pay for hosting there, but not having to pay for the Forum hosting is a huge load off the wallet.
