    Text Box Codes

Is there a way on Chrome to get the text box codes to be automatic? Meaning if I want to bold something in my post, I could just highlight what I want, press the B icon, and whatever I highlighted would be bolded already (as opposed to just having the [b] [/ b] tags around them.

I remember on Firefox I can do this, but on Chrome, you have the actual codes in a post. I'm thinking it has more to do with the browser than OS, but just checking incase I'm wrong.

That must be some sort of add-on, nothing OS specific that can be enabled.

I noticed on Firefox, I see this appear:

Which allows me to turn on/off that editing style. The icon doesn't appear on Chrome. It's located next to the and images on the right hand side of the textbox.

Hmmm, I do this all the time in Chrome already.

That's weird why it won't show up for me. I see the on my toolbar which is to remove text formatting, but not the other icon that should be there.

I tried my computer and on my phone and it's the same (Firefox it shows up, Chrome it doesn't).

Go to User CP -> Edit Options, and under Miscellaneous Options, change your Message Editor Interface to "Standard Editor."

You may have accidentally changed it at some point.

I've tried that and nothing happened. I tried it on the standard editor and enhanced interface, but neither made any difference to the box.
