Re: "I Am Not A Robot" Page

I still get it when previewing posts and then sometimes after hitting the "post" button.

Doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to it other than that for me.

Also, seems to happen a lot more when I post in the OOTP franchise thread than when I post in the MLB19 forum for whatever reason.

Re: "I Am Not A Robot" Page

I get this every single time I try to make my 1st post of a day on here. It's been going on for close to a month now. I started copying & pasting my posts into notepad due to this because sometimes even when doing the robot captcha (LOL!) I get redirected & have lost what I was trying to post.

This is something I have NEVER experienced from this site in the past. Never any type of captcha required before or the so called robot. Geez! Can we get this problem solved or figured out please Steve or whoever else looks into this stuff? Thanks.

Edit: Now, tonight I'm getting automatically logged out every 1-2 minutes from the site as well. Place is falling apart! LOL!

Re: "I Am Not A Robot" Page

The IT team has looked into this. Other admins recently implemented additional security controls that are triggering the CAPTCHA challenges you all are seeing.

IT has lowered the sensitivity of the CATPCHA challenges. Please let the team know in this thread if you are still seeing the challenge screens, and if so, which actions you are performing to trigger them and we will continue to tweak the settings.

We are looking for that perfect balance between security and usability!

I got this prompt 3 times just trying to preview this post:

We have further adjusted the settings to try to reduce false positives. Please continue to report any issues encountered, your IP address (https://www.whatismyip.com/), and what forum action you were trying to perform. More specific details, such as what URL/thread/post you were trying to view or what content you were trying to post would be helpful.

I get the captcha checks anytime I have a post involving a certain # of photos.

For example, previewing, posting, and/or editing this post always results in the captcha check: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...&postcount=286

As an update to the IP address request, I actually haven't been able to find any IPs reported so far in the firewall logs, which leads me to believe the CATPCHAs aren't coming from Cloudflare, which is the CDN we use.

What would be more useful for my lookups is the CloudFlare Ray ID when you do see the CAPTCHA screen.

Here is an example Cloudflare CAPTCHA with the Ray ID information at the bottom:

tonybologna, you may want to try clearing your browser cache/cookies and see if you have any browser add-ons that may be blocking the session cookies for the site.

Alternatively, you can try using a different browser and see if the problem goes away.

I have tried everything to stop this from happening. Clearing cookies & cache. Different web browsers too. This ONLY happens from this forum. I'm a member of numerous other Forums & OS is the only one that's logging me out every 1-2 minutes & sometimes even before that. I have lost some posts due to being logged out & not copying what I had typed into Notepad or something.

I always copy & paste what I'm going to post now into Notepad to store just in case I'm logged out when trying to submit my posts. It's not anything to do with a virus or trojan either. It's something here on OS causing this to keep happening. Now, if this was happening from other Forums then I would say it's not OS. Thanks.
