I don't control the ads anymore, hopefully it won't last much longer. Ads help keep the site going, but I understand the frustration.

I not, ally don’t mind ads because yeah, thry pay the bills, and or help the people running the place. However this specific one is really hard to get past. It literally goes over the top of everything, takes up a large chunk of the screen, and is where you would scroll so you almost hit it all the time. Plus every page it’s on, not just like the once you open up the site for the first few seconds lol

Can you post a screenshot? I mainly just use the desktop version and also get a video ad for pretty much every page, but it stays in the lower right margin area then dsiappears after a few seconds so isn't really intrusive. At least that "Just Vote" ad that covered all the margin space is gone.

I would love to but I don’t have a place to host the screenshot outside of Facebook I guess. I could possibly take one with my cell and post it on the Facebook OS page in some way or am open to suggestions.

Is that a video ad that runs on every page on the OS app, tapatalk app or just browsing the forums on mobile?

                  Which device?

Hey all. Was just wondering if there was any updates on these lower corner ads? Surely there's a better way to do the advertising to keep the lights on here? I've only recently started getting these on my laptop. There's a 5 second timer before the X appears so you can't even immediately close the things as soon as they pop up. It's every time you load a new page too.

I'm not a fan either, but they pay the bills to keep OS up and running. I realize many use blockers, etc. but if users want OS to stay alive, it's what needs to happen. Once we get the new forum software online, we might allow the supporters to disable ads. But we'll cross that path when the time comes.

Ads pay the bills. Once ads don't pay the bills, OS won't be here any more. I get it, they suck. Once we get the new forums up, we'll be looking to have them removed for supporters.
