Not being able to use all the features, and the app version limitations

Im using the Android app FYI so all these issue may be exclusive to that, haven't tested it.

After a few days I could start posting threads, which I realized was typical protocol to prevent spammers. But I've had this account for over a month and I can't use the search, member search, topic or forum search. Says I don't have permission.

Also, on a unrelated note, not having the option to select what page of the forums you're reading sucks. NFL Head Coach 06 is completely buried under 100+ pages of NFL Head Coach 09 and can't view it on the app without scrolling down for a ridiculously long time.

I see now that searching had been disabled, could this be the reason for "You don't have permission to do that"?

Search is disabled? That explains why I can't search from my phone.

The software this forum uses is very old and it reached the point that the search feature was just locking up the database when too many people were using it so it had to be turned off. A forum upgrade is in the works, though there is no ETA as of yet.

TheButter, regarding your other issue with moving through threads on the app. If you tap the number of posts between the arrows at the bottom of the page you can select a page, though it lists the range of posts rather than the page number e.g. 1-10, 11-20, 21-30 etc. also tapping the double up arrow outside the singe arrow will take you to the beginning of the thread.

That's the thing though, when scrolling down there isn't a page number, or anything other than a button to start a new thread.

That works when viewing a specific thread, but not when on the main page of the subdivision of the forum.

Ah, okay, I see what you mean. I misread your earlier post and thought you were referring to the thread. Don't know how to help you there except suggest using the desktop version where you can more easily navigate through pages of threads.

FWIW, I don't have an option to do it on the OS app either. I don't think there's ever been one.
