    text spacing question

Sorry if this is the wrong area...

Every time I write something in the forums and separate text with a new paragraph it creates a double lined space and I can't figure out how to change it. It looks ok while I'm typing but not in the preview or when it posts. Some help would be much appreciated.

I have the same issue. I use Firefox. I think I heard there's something you can do in Firefox settings to change this, but I'm not going to change my browser settings just for this.

Using Firefox, I'll write a reply like I normally would.

When I click on "Preview Post", the preview text will be double-spaced between paragraphs (double return button).

If I only edit by using the backspace button to eliminate the double spaces and then hit "Submit Reply", my reply will come out the way I wanted it.

That's what I've been doing. It sucks, but I don't want to change my settings just for this forum.

I don't know what's causing it for you guys here, but I have that issue on YouTube, and now in Google Classroom.

My remedy for those is to hold Shift when pressing Enter to create new lines. Test that out here and see if that works for you. It would be a nuisance to always do (and again I don't know what causes the extra lines to begin with), but it should fix the issue.

If you're on phone, however, then I don't know how to fix that.

I think this is a product of how your browser renders and interacts with the WYSIWYG editor.

You could try a solution like the one mentioned in this linked thread for Firefox, but ultimately I'd expect things like this persist until we move to newer software:
