Hey i use mozilla and i never get pop ups. However, when i log on to operationsports.com i'm getting pop ups as soon as i get on the site. Something about my computer might have spyware, click here to rid yourself of it...any reason why this is showin up now????????

I get it on the forums with Firefox. I have had the pop up come up on both my home computers with Firefox and the lab computer at school using firefox. I was really surprised when I saw it and scanned real quick for Spyware. Nothing found. But then when I saw it on the lab computer at school, I figured it was just a pop up on the site. It doesn't happen everytime, usually the first time I go to the forums each day, but never again.Originally posted by fossen

If you use firefox, I recommend adding the extension called " ad blocker". The extension gives you the ability to selectively block any advertisements that you dislike(like the pop ups)..

Yep, got it here too. Just happened in the last few days.
hjb1, while I will add that, I don't know why that would change anything. I've used Firefox for about a year now, and haven't had one single pop up.Comment
