Nearly full screen ads on mobile

I have not seen this issue until today - there are ads covering almost the entire screen on mobile (safari on iphone) and they don’t have an x or skip or anything..

    Driving me crazy!

Yep I’m mostly just a lurker, I don’t post a lot but I love to just come here and read through the threads on the site. It’s become almost unusable ever since the full page ads have started. I hope somebody is able to do something about it.

Hmm, is this homepage or forums? I use Safari on iphone all the time and I'm not seeing it. Can you grab a screenshot and post it next time?

Re: Nearly full screen ads on mobile

I tried to upload a screenshot but the mobile site is so difficult to use that I can't. I don't see an upload image button and it's hard to even navigate here because of the full screen ad problem.

There's an ad at the top taking up almost the entire screen and another smaller ad at the bottom. Sometimes they combine to take up 100% of the screen and more often than not I'm finding that I can't close out of the top one.

Here are 2 examples attached.. the bottom ad is closable, the top ad is not. They go away after about 15-20 seconds but then another one comes up after a few seconds of no ad there. Basically impossible to use the site.

Do these ads load on every page or a few times a day? I'm trying to get to the bottom of it. Which OS Style are you using? Have you tried changing it? (It's at the bottom of the page)

Is it only in Safari mobile on iOS? I'm trying to replicate but am unable to do so. The more details you can provide the better. Thank you.

Safari is the only browser I have on IOS..

When I switch to OS 2.0 the problem goes away.. switched back to OS 4.0 and they come back.

                It's every page every time..

I don’t know how to post a screenshot on here, but I am still getting the full page ads. I am on OS 4.0 responsive. I normally get on the site on my phone, but I am gonna try to check on my iPad tonight to see if I can get it to duplicate it.

The team adjusted a few things on the backend. Let me know how things are now. Thank you.

No longer seeing the fullscreen ad issue with OS 4.0 enabled!

I do have another issue which is that the posts with a video embed are very 'wide' while the text only ones are very narrow, and trying to zoom in on the page doesn't work because it keeps re-setting to the original zoom to enclose the wider embed posts.

I'll post an example screenshot later.
