Playing against Chelsea in the Champions Cup and notice Neymar is the keeper, must be a injury filled season.

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?

Just won the 2014 US Open Cup as the NY Red Bulls. I beat the Seattle Sounders 5-4 in penalty shots after the game was tied 2-2 after 120'. I bought Clint Dempsey, and he was playing well until he broke a rib during training.

Currently third in the MLS ( 32 P, 53 PTS) behind Toronto FC (33 P, 78 PTS) and Chicago Fire (33 P, 64 PTS) I'm heading into an important MLS Cup match against Columbus, who's 4th in the MLS at 32 P and 51 PTS.

Tied with Columbus 2-2, it was a draw. I remain in third place, Columbus is still in 4th.

So after my game with Chelsea and seeing Neymar playing keeper I'd looked at their roster and found out that Chelsea has zero keepers on the team.

Decided to start over and give it another go with Peterborough United!...This time I wont be selling and loaning out my talent as easily!...Hoping not to get fired!..

My transfer budget is $2,600,000 and i have two 1 star scouts!, Should I wait a little before opening up a youth academy?

How many games do you guys Play/Simulate through the season?

                    FIFA 14
                    *Southampton
                    *Aston Villa
                    *Man U
                    *Lyon
                    *Ipswich Town
                    *Blackburn Rovers
Try Shaktar or Galatsaray in the epl or serie a, they both have good money and are a lot of fun to use.

Re: How is your FIFA 14 NG Manager Mode going?

Mid January in my second season with ManCity. (2017)

Sitting in second on the EPL, 6 points behind Arsenal. About to play them, hoping to pull 3 points closer. In the R16 for the F.A. Cup. In the Semi's of the Capital One Cup vs Chelsea. And in the R16 of the Champions Cup.

Been a long season. And a lot of my younger midfielders and strikers went crazy about their play time. More than I have ever had. 7 players in total. All demanding to be released from the team either via loan or transfer. They were getting games, but not enough apparently. And I really didn't want to lose some of them. So I thought about it for a while and decided to make a formation change.

I had been playing MCI default 4-4-2. I changed this to a custom 3-3-4. Which is actually a 3-5-1-1. But that game sees it a 3-3-4. I have 3 CBs. 2 CMs. 1 CAM. 2 Wingers. A CF (up as a ST) and a ST. The wingers are hybrid R/LM and Wingers though. I set their work rate to be high both ways instead of just attack. I also set free form so guys will move around more. I instantly fell in love with it and in my first game using it scored 5 goals. The most I ever scored in the 4-4-2 default was 3. And using this lets me utilize 5 of those guys that wanted out much more frequently. So I didn't list them. Hoping that doesn't turn into a problem.

However my best ST, Jovic demanded a transfer. His morale said Transfer. I'd never seen that. And I have no idea why he was unhappy. He was the leagues top scorer the year prior. And was leading the league this year with 17 goals already. He played in 90% of all matches. And was in excellent form. And was Very Happy. But then all the sudden on January first that changed. Then the board told me I could do what ever and they would back me if I didn't want to sell him off. But I figured it would turn bad in the media and make other players lose moral so I sold him off for $52 million. Then took that money and bought a couple CB and a striker to replace him.

And also in changing of the form, I lost the need for LB and RB as my CB will never come forward. So I sold them all off. It pained me to sell Yedlin. Plus I needed to get some more true CB as there was only three on the roster.

So hoping all this shifting will result in happier players and winning everything in one season!

Also got fired from the USA team for losing too many friendlies. They said I was not preforming to their standards. What ever, like I care about friendlies (I was simming them all) in the middle of major season in EPL like I'm having. A month later I got three offers all at once. England, Ecuador and Hungary. I picked England. Going to try and win a WC for them. I start qualifying next month. They already played 4 games and are in third with 5 points. Shouldn't be too hard to qualify.

Sorry for the long winded posts.

I always sim games against teams in the bottom 3 on the table. I sim all preseason friendlies. And after that its just a random one here and there. I play 85% of the league games I would say. And I play all cup games.

I won my first game as Scotland's National team manager. It was a World Cup Qualifer vs Czech republic. I won 3-2; it was tied late and I shot and scored around the 82' mark. I literally started yelling, I couldn't believe I made the shot. Czech almost tied it several times in the final minutes, but I won/ Next I face Greece.

In my Inverness Caladonian Thistle career....I've put together a pretty decent team of mostly youth squad guys. We're 3.5 stars.
I put Rangers back in the SPL....and I'm regretting it. NOBODY has given me as much trouble as them. I don't remember the last time I beat them. Probably the first season.
Anyway, the last game I played was against Rangers. It was a pretty boring game of trying to find away in by both teams early. Then they got a peak. I panicked and tried to slide tackle to get a block. I slid behind him...but touched is trailing foot. Penalty and a red card. Here we go again.
I saved the penalty....only to see Rangers get ANOTHER PENALTY 5 minutes later. I was just running along side the guy, but it was enough for him to topple over. No save this time. 1-0.
I grab a goal right before half to tie it at 1-1. At the 70 minute mark my RB was pressing a bit high, but it worked out as he stole a pass and curled one in for a 2-1 lead!
I'm thinking I'll finally beat them.....we get into stoppage time. Rangers are beginning to threaten. I have a chance to clear, but I didn't get a good hit at it. Drops to a Ranger right outside the box. He gets a screamer off....DIVING SAVE!!!!! Everything goes into slow motion as I see the ball deflect right to another Ranger.....he scores and I scream NOOOOOOO.
Another match against Rangers.....another match without 3 points. I thought I had them.

Second half of the season is wearing down my roster. Injuries up the wazzu.

Ended up losing to Arsenal in the Capital One Cup final 1-0.

Lost in the semis of the F.A. Cup just now to Newcastle United 3-2. I scored in stoppage time to draw 2-2. Then they scored with 2 minutes to go before PK to win off an amazing, yet garbage goal in the second extra period. Their keeper kicked it 3/4ths and one of their guys out ran three of my defenders to get to it and chip the keeper who ran out of his box for no reason.

And I am about to play Madrid in the Champions Cup Semis.
Also sitting in first in the EPL, 4 points ahead of Arsenal.

But its all falling apart. 6 key players hurt 2 months or more. Most of my backups at this point are not good enough to keep up. Going to be an ugly finish.

Also in 2nd for WC qualifying with England. 3 points behind Austria. And 3 points ahead of Turkey. Two games to go. I play Greece who is at the bottom of the group and Austria. So I should be able to maintain second place and qualify.
