Correct. It's a single use item whether you bought it or were gifted it

Its been in the last two? three games? So probably. Unless this is the year they found a way to integrate mico-transactions into it. Oh whats that, you're not level 75 yet. Well, for $1 you can buy this item. Oh you are level 50, but you don't have 10 million FCC. Well you can buy more for $1.

Thanks for clarifying, and that stinks! Since manager mode is offline who cares if I want to use the financial takeover more than once, it's not affecting anyone else. The term 'season' is so misleading. I purchased a level 13 takeover and just sort of messed around and did some simming. Now I want to start a season for real, but unknown to me I can't get another one unless I give up my job and leave my wife and kids and rank up to level 39. As others have said, seems like an obvious way that they will try to monetize the game in future additions. I'm cranky.

What platform are you playing on? I'm sure someone here could gift you the level 39 one. If your on Xbox one I could.
