Help a soccer newbie?

I just got a ps4 and decided to give fifa 14 a shot. I have a few questions about fifa and soccer in general.

1) What time length do you guys use?

2) What does pitch mean?

3) what do the attributes... FK acc,marking,crossing mean?

1) Time depends on what mode I'm playing. Career manager, I play fifteen, but sometimes move it down to 10. Whatever gets you better games and better results is what you should use. Most people in here that play CM use 15. Keep in mind shorter games mean not only less realistic stats, but the cpu tends to manipulate the game more so you see better plays and more goals in a shorter amount of time, so generally, I find the longer the game the fairer the play.

2) Pitch is the actual field.

3) FK acc - Free Kick accuracy, which is very important for only free kicks(youll notice some guys are great shooters during play, but not at free kicking, and vice versa)

Marking - is how well a player can "cover" another player, so it's a defensive attribute, far more important for defenders and midfielders.

Crossing - crossing is when you see a player on the wing(the side of the field) send a long, high pass into the middle of the field, usually towards the opponents goal box. This stat indicates how well a player can cross the ball in and hit a teammate accurately.
