Is anyone else seeing this...?

I love this game. Absolutely love it.

But one thing has bothered me and I'm wondering if anyone else is noticing it and letting it bother them too:

In situations like corner kicks, if the ball is headed out by a defensive player while my attackers (I play a 4-3-1-2) and attacking MF are sucked into the box challenging for the header, very often the next-level attackers (CMF or outside MF) will completely overrun the ball and just ignore it as it goes over their heads and they run towards the box for no reason. I will try to get video of this so y'all know what I mean. But I'm thinking you probably already do.

Anyone else see this? Soooo frustrating. And unlike the rest of the logic this game has.

Like poor tracking right? Hate when that happens. Should be tied into awareness or something.

Yeah there is a huge hole/space given up by your team on corner kicks. I made a custom set piece where 2 players run back to a spot about 10 metres above the D of the box and camp.

Scored plenty of goals with either of those players collecting the spill out and then taking 1 stride and hammering home the shot.

For some reason on default EA yanks your CMs or CAMs out of the heart of the pitch and pushes them out to wide spots.

I know why. Like most all the programming in this game...it's to keep the user from winning 10-1.

Yep one of my few gripes with this game. Another is players taking way to long to come out of some animations. A defender can slide tackle and trip up my player without him falling down but the defender can get up off the ground and get to the ball before my player comes out of the trip animation. WTF!

Oh yes.

And that is one of the more obvious examples. How about so many many many times on the pitch where the CPU and your momentum both flow the same direction and the ball comes loose and goes another direction and somehow, someway, the CPU always takes the first step quicker and always in the correct direct direction to win the ball.

Another one that is just bothering me the more time I put into this game is the way shots are deflected.

If you watch enough soccer/football you will notice how many goals are scored off a shot that deflects, even minutely, off of a defenders boot, shin, leg, hip, etc. and goes towards goal on a redirected path. Frequently into the goal while the keeper was going in the initial direction of the shot and can't react fast enough for the change of direction.

Not sure I have ever seen that happen in CG or NG fifa this year. Generally the deflections come right back like a ricochet or get deflected well off line, away from the goal frame.

I would lose my mind (in a good way!) if I saw a shot heading for the right corner of the goal hit off the leg of a defender and redirect towards the left center of goal and to see the keeper get caught flat footed and just see him helplessly watch it fly into the goal. The goal keeper a victim of inertia and just unlucky to have it deflected.

Not flying the pes flag here but those kind of goals have been in that game for years.

Fifa is getting closer. I really can't wait to see what happens with fifa 15 and even the stop gap World Cup game that should be coming out this summer.

The ball drops just outside of the box and my players just take off running as if their trying to get back to defend. They could very easily get to the ball before the CPU
