One thing driving me crazy is player switching, not only on defence, but now offence. I passed to a player and it was a bit too hard, so the game interprets that the pass was intended for the next furthest player. The game gives me control of the further player. No problem, I'll just switch to the closer player before the ball passes by ... nope! I'm hammering the switch player button and nothing is happening, and the player that is closer who the pass was originally intended for, runs PAST the ball into a position. Unbelievable. I couldnt switch away from the player that was selected for me. I thought I had manual player switching on? It cost me a goal, and its not the only time.

Things that need to be fixed
Aside from the usual stuff, like fouls(which have improved in NG), offsides(which are still a problem), there are other things that should be patched, not simply worked on for the next iteration.

Re: Things that need to be fixed
The switching can sometimes be a lil bugged but to me the only 2 real issues I have are how often players go offsides when they have no reason to be anywhere near offsides and to a lesser extent, fouls

Re: Things that need to be fixed
Not sure if you want to include bugs in this thread, but one that bothers me is sometimes when I go to play a drop-in match, instead of the two generic sides both teams are the team I have selected as my favorite team. And they both use the same kit so needless to say it would be a clusterf to try and play that way. And backing out and trying again doesn't fix it.Comment

Re: Things that need to be fixed
Just one complaint. I play be a GK mode primarily and no matter what in away games your match rating drops and drops and the only way to stop it is make an abundance of saves. While your at home it stays at a steady 6.0 and increases with saves but doesn't drop unless you do something you should be penalized for(letting in a goal, bad pass).
I'm four years in and after stints with the Red Bull and Atalanta I made it to play for Arsenal. While I don't expect the craziest amount of action it really is unfair and makes the mode extremely difficult when you get penalized for not having any action. At least keep me at a 6.0 like it does for home games and I won't have my manager trying to bench me for bad form even while I'm getting clean sheets.
It's been like this for YEARS! Fix it.

Re: Things that need to be fixed
Actually two complaints lol. As a goalkeeper I'd love for the computer to shoot more and from different areas. Almost every team I face tries way too hard to get 3 ft from the box. I'd love to see some rockets from outside or some chip attempts but I just hardly ever see the CPU take these chances. Instead they just ping it amongst each other until they're either disrupted or they end up right on top of me. Honestly if they fixed this area I wouldn't need the match rating fix.

Re: Things that need to be fixed
The only way I have made the CPU shoot from distance is to up the game speed. I don't just mean slow or normal.
I mean bump the sliders for you and the CPU up to the high 60's. Speed and accel.
Is it crazy fast? Oh yes. But the CPU will take more chances at speed. The more you slow the game down the more plodding and deliberate the game gets.
And when ea talks about players being able to make 4x the decisions as CG or whatever it is they say...well...from what I have seen the CPU errs on the side of being extremely cautious. So if you slow them way down they have more time to work through their logic and say nope not going to shoot. Too high risk. Gotta get closer.
On faster speeds the CPU is doing all kinda of wild things. Riskier passes, hopeful long balls, distant shooting, etc
The one thing I am still trying to figure out is this though...if you make the CPU 65/60 and you make yourself 65/60 they will beat you to every thing.
It isn't a constant scale. As speeds for the CPU go up you must increase your speeds greater than theirs to keep things equal.
I have had some of the best games by the CPU offense with faster speeds but it's brutal to play at high speed.
If there was just some way to keep the CPU potent on offense at slower speeds...and I don't mean potent the way it is now where they shoot once or twice and score 1. I mean potent like they create more chances, have more misses, take more risks, stuff like that.resident curmudgeonComment

Oh yeah? Go to 2:50 in this video: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v...45808633817492
That's not a slow internet connection or anything, that stuttering was offline as I was playing the game. I don't know what caused that or what happened.

This game is otherwise terrific when it doesn't have gamebreaking bugs.Would the lady who left her nine kids at Wrigley Field please pick them up immediately? They are beating the Cubs 4-0 in the 7th inning!Comment

I just want the sliders to make sense for non hardcore FIFA/soccer fans. I love fifa but I mess around with the sliders to make the game more enjoyable for me and other than the player speed, I don't know what any of them really mean or what they do.Beavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA HoopsComment
