    Strategy For Resting Players

    Greetings,

What is the best way to approach resting players? How often should I rest players and for what games? Do I rotate player resting?

    Thanks so much.

By the way, I am really loving this game and getting the hang of it.

It depends on a number of things. Team I'm using and competitions I'm in. For the Barcelona one resting people isn't necessary most of the time as games aren't as frequent as say the English League. With my Newcastle one I'm in the Europa League as well so it depends on the game and rival. I'm getting on a stretch were I play a league game 2 days later an Europa League and 2 days later the Capital One. I will play most starters in the League then some for the Europa League since the opponent is weak (beat them 6-0 in the first game) and then the bench for the Capital One. Again depends on the rival and the competition.

How tired do they have to be for you to rest them?

Like he was saying it really depends on the schedule, but generally speaking I rest players when they are 75% or below unless there is a 3 or 4 days between games. It also depends on the player, some guys can play every game and get by on two days rest with no problems.

If they're 50% or so (yellowish) I sit them. If they're barely light green (less than 75%) then I let them play unless there is another game in the next couple days (more important than the current one)

In my Dag&Red MM, I have the Champ Cup, FA Cup, Capitol One Cup and EPL play that I am in. For all champ cup games my best 11 play, same goes with big time EPL games need vs Chelsea, Man U or other top of the table teams.

The Domestic cups I play a mix of subs/young players to get experience and the top players. And bottom of the table EPL teams 15th and lower usually, I play all young players I have brought up. So they can improve faster.
