World cup update(gameplay tweaks)

Haven't seen any real posts about it, but the gameplay tweaks made in the update are for the better. Seems like the players aren't as agile so it makes for a slower paced game which I like. Also the headers aren't as overpowered due to better positioning from defenders. Definitely feels harder to score from corners. Things I don't like are sometimes the shots can feel floaty and take a while to get off. Also since I have my cursor switching on manual it can take a while for it to actually switch to the guy I want to control. Too me the game feels slower, allowing for a more methodical approach. Still feels like fifa so it's not a drastic change, but it's better.

It is still easy to score on headers. The problem is the striker inputs trump everything, so even when the defender has good placing and timing in front of the striker, he loses if the striker comes close to timing it right.

I don't think there were any gameplay changes, at all. They surely didn't announce anything of the sort, and any changes to the WC mode would also have to affect regular FIFA 14 as well. That said, I've noticed nothing different.

If u play a normal game and then one in the world cup mode theirs definitely a difference in the way the game is played. How players take touches, even the way they shield the ball.

Yep...I played the WC content for the first time last night (xbox one) and I definitely noticed gameplay changes. Played offline games only, no FUT stuff. I play on default world class level.

IMO, there have def been game play changes. It is very noticeable in my career mode with Chelsea. IMO, World Class has become much more difficult. I went from constantly being in the top 4 of the table to barely beating the team propping the the table up. I'm not talking about an isolated incident either. I've probably played a dozen or so games since the update and it's all I can do to score 1 against some of the worst defenses in the league. I was sitting at #2 in the table, played Tottenham at #11 in the table and got my arse handed to me 4-0. I managed 3 shots, 1 on frame and 4 tackles. As opposed to 14 shots, 9 on frame, 4 inthe back of the net and 19 tackles by the Spurs. Something has def changed.
