I managed the Portland Timbers for two years before jumping ship to the Champions League.
You can get one or two players in the mid 70's and maybe one player rated 79-82. But that is really rare. 8 million dollar budget compared to a 40-70 million dollar budget. Compared to the Premier league when every first team player is in the high 70's to 90's. -

That's why I like playing in the MLS. You have to rely more on your skill to compete and your ability to build teams that play well together. Can't just buy the best talent available and make it work. Also makes youth squads more important.
