Well done sir. That is the brunt of the issue RIGHT THERE in photo proof.

Not only does Jovetic start out unmarked despite being the absolute responsibility of one of the CB, but he's allowed room at the top of the box (danger zone) to collect the ball, pivot, turn into space and take what looks like maybe 4 touches into the box and yet SOMEHOW ends up with more space than he had initially?

How on earth does he end up so close to goal with so much room? He looks like he has time to pick up the ball, fluff the grass, place the ball down & take a nice 5 meter run up to shoot.

If I were Rodgers I'd be pulling off both of the CB's immediately. They be cleaning the loo at the end of training the next day.

I noticed a lot of passive AI like that in FIFA '14, namely from my own side. When balls were bouncing around in the box, none of my teammates would crash the net and look for the rebound or otherwise try to rush for the goal. It was frustrating at times because I missed out on sure goals, thanks to passive AI teammates that just nonchalantly stood around and watched.

As for the demo itself, I do like what I see. The improved presentation elements are a nice touch. The gameplay feels similar but tweaked for the positive. Honestly, because I purchased FIFA '14, the only way I was even considering buying '15 was if Creation Centre was working for the new generation. With it still not included, I'm passing and will keep playing FIFA '14. The game doesn't really seem different enough to warrant a purchase, anyway, as that's largely why I've stopped buying the same sports titles year in, year out.

Hopefully they get CC back for '16 or '17.

Just for sanity sake I went back to FIFA World Cup on xBox360 with the sole purpose of observing the defending.

I'm playing on Pro with some slider tweaks, but I believe marking is at default 50.

This is a goal that Mexico scores against my USMNT side 13' into my test match.

It starts my me giving away possession on a dumb chipped pass that the Mexico player jumps and deflects with his back (very nice animation). He then chests the ball down and makes a nice pass to the CAM who is wide open in space after the turnover.

Now this is where the interesting behavior begins. The CAM carries the ball into space and I try to lung tackle him (18 sec mark). He beats me because I chose to try a dumb tackle in a dangerous situation. Now my AI teammate defender (RCB) recognizes the Mexico Striker sitting at the top of the box and makes a valiant effort to cover him in my absence (he doesn't get there in time, but at least he tries. And yes, he appears to make a few slight movements towards the ball, but at least he's not cowering in the corner after running away from everyone like FIFA15 defenders appear to do).

Gio Dos Santos makes a great run between my recovering RCB (who has to run 5-6 meters to cover him) and my LB (who is out wide covering the wing, but not as wide as I typically expect to see my FB's in the 15 demo, he's actually in what I'd consider a good defensive position).

Johnny 2 Saints collects a nice pass, takes one touch and slots home a controlled finish past the rushing Howard.

I'm not pissed at all after conceding this goal. It's my own dumb fault, starting with the unneeded loss of possession, then followed by my ill advised tackle attempt on an on rushing attacker in space. Nothing I can do other than give the dirty Mexican's a round of applause. Well done sirs.

I want this in FIFA15. I want my CPU teammate AI defender to at least pretend to try.

this is the only example i have of it, but i did actually have an AI teammate help out and make a great goal... i was dribbling in on the right side of the 18, ripped a shot just outside the box with cavani only to have the goalie deflect it out to his right side, in comes AI controlled Lucas who heads the ball in via the rebound. i honestly stood there amazed because i couldnt believe it actually happened. did the computer just grab a rebound... and score... ON ITS OWN?? yes yes it did :-) lets hope this happens a bit more in future iterations of fifa, not OP but a little help never hurts.

Here is another one showing the liverpool back 4. They start out flat with the LCB pointing out Dzeko as the threat to the LB.

Man City employs a clever overload which liverpool is in fine shape to defend.

In the next photo the LCB, despite handing off the threat, retreats with dzeko. Instead of rolling over to the next player north on the pitch and passing dzeko off to the LB. The RCB is a fine place still, all he needs to do is move out towards the ball and start containing, pushing the ball handler up and to the touchline. The threat is intensifying.

RCB is still ok but a massive hole is opening behind him. The LCB has made a terrible mistake of losing sight of the ball this close to goal. But perhaps he is just stunned that the LB didnt pick up dzeko. But that means he somehow sensed that because in photo 2 his back was to dzeko but I will assume he saw him in his peripheral vision

Major problems coming, alarms should be going off, everyone needed to defend and someone better stop the ball penetration ASAP. The CF is running free. Ridiculous at this point. Even more ridiculous is that the RCB didn't slow down the attack at all by getting stuck in. Instead he choose to turn and run towards the end line. With the threat at this level the RB has no business just back pedaling nonchalantly at the top of the screen

I saw this too, I headed off the bar on a corner and Oscar (who was running in already) changed his path and tapped in the loose ball. Loved it! Although scoring with Chelsea made me feel sick to my stomach.

He's still running towards the endline. The RB hasn't bothered to care still (that's the RM tracking back). The LB is wondering if UPS delivered his xbox one today so he could play as himself in FIFA 15.
This is MEGA danger at this point. It's almost over for liverpool.

That seems to be a recurring theme with the FIFA series, at least the games I've played. I've already noticed a few incidents like this in the '15 demo, I'd be amazed if they changed anything.

Can't say I blame you and honestly, I'm a bit gutted about no CC again this year. Custom NASL and Conference tournaments were a big part of my FIFA experience on last-gen and it sucks not having them on PS4. Oh well, I'm not going to let it stop me from enjoying the rest of the game.
