So what's the deal w/ some of the IF cards who have the player position 'highlighted' and some of the attributes are increased?

Those are simply IF cards that have had stat boost consumables applied to them. It's a way people try to cheat you by making you think the card is better than it really is. Just ignore them.

So have they used some sort of program to 'edit' the cards? I mean I've applied consumables to them before and the numbers don't change...?

Nope, they are just the attribute training cards. They'll increase the card values for one game. Try it and see yourself.

Yeah I mean I understand the concept of the consumables--I just didn't realize that the values were actually reflected on the cards. So they apply the consumable, and then sell it without using it in game, correct?

exactly this , they try to trick people into thinking the card is special or an inform. sadly it works quite a bit as ive seen threads on ea from people crying about buying a card with an att boost.

So I finally picked up FIFA... am I the only one who can't seem to finish a game in FUT without losing connection to the EA servers? My Live connection is fine... anyone else run into this problem?

I was able to finish my tournament this morning but nothing since then. It's still aftermath from the crap with the hackers and the psn.

I know this is going to be beyond n00bish, and I apologize in advance. I'm new to FIFA and ultimate team.

When I open packs, is there a limit to the number of player cards I can transfer to my squad? Is there a limit to the number of players I can have on my squad? I see limits, obviously, for subs and reserves...but I can't find any info on how many can be on your squad to choose from.

I can't remember The exact number, it's quite large. If you're new to FUT you should have no worries unless you're opening ridiculous amounts of packs.

I've only lost two matches in about 20 or so matches with two MLS squads I've built using a 4-3-3 with guys with high defensive work rates playing in the midfield and high attacking work rates as wingers which has them make incredible runs. My first squad had two out of the three with high defensive, this one has all three midfielders(two CDM's and a CM) with high defensive work rates yet they make incredible runs in attack AND track back and can lock down players. I'm going to keep on posting vids of the squad on YouTube because I think it can be a great model for people like me who have no interest in purchasing coins or FIFA points. Just feel free to skim through the first vid if you'd like since it's a bit long. This one shows more of the attacking prowess of my midfield and the squad in general, it's just surprising to see them make such wonderful attacking runs with high defensive work rates. The one I'll be posting tomorrow shows some of the defensive prowess the squad has even when facing some high level players.

Really wanted Alaba at LB--but couldn't justify spending an additional (approx) $80K on him over Rodriguez.

Thoughts? I am excited to use them tonight for the first time!

You might give boatang (the midfielder) a go. He's very well balanced in all stats and has 4* skills to go along with his great size.

Have you tried De Bruyne at CAM, has a 5 star weak foot and all around good stats.
