Re: FIFA 15 Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (PS4, XB1)
Canada got a non-US cover this year. It also just says "FIFA 15" on the cover and spine rather than the "FIFA Soccer 15". Or did they change that this year for the US version as well?Impact de Montréal

What? I bought FIFA 14 last year for PS4 the first day it came out and Co-Op seasons was in the game... I played over 300 games (was the main game mode I played). So I'm not sure who told you that it wasn't in the game...Comment

I thought it was just my tv or system. Glad to see I'm not imagining things. Hopefully they fix it, but it's not a big deal.Comment

Granted on higher difficulties its certainly more difficult to contain attackers, which can be frustrating, but I dont agree with the notion that you cant "stop" on defense at all.Comment

You can do this fine. Whenever I hold L and stop moving the left stick my defender plants and holds his ground. You can also shuffle while you hold the L button depending on where the attackers go.

off to try this
and you mean LT right? or LB? What L is it?resident curmudgeonComment

Yes, LT, not the bumpers.
Once you start holding it your defenders go into a "defensive" stance I guess is how you would put it. You can coral attackers much easier this way.Comment

Ok yeah jockey.
But my players still seem to be sliding around a bit and not just holding their ground. Thanks for this though, I will try it again.resident curmudgeonComment

This is the best Fifa game, and the best sports game I have EVER played. Playing with Barca with minimal formation changes and on slow game speed was incredible. Fifa should be VERY proud of this product that they put out.
Seeing Messi begin to celebrate before the ball even crossed the line was one of the greatest things I've ever seenComment

I was the in the same boat with the demo until I tried these two ways.
Use RB+shot to finesse it far post.
Or just tap b quickly to keep the shot low. Low shots are serious problems for the keepers this year.resident curmudgeonComment

I love the time wasting that the CPU does.
I mean, it's frustrating when it's happening, but it's cool to see because it's realistic. I was trailing late to West Brom with Spurs, and they were running the ball to the corner, and doing other stuff to waste as much time as possible. It was kind of cool. Maybe I'm missing it somehow, is there a way to practice in the arena?
In past FIFAs, you could always hit select, and then choose the number of attackers/defenders, work on FKs, stuff like that. Looks like the only options in the arena that I'm finding are switch sides to become the goalie.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

there are 3 dots on the image and you RS over to the mode
Oh wait, if you are in the arena I think its select button or whatever the xbox 360 equivalent select button is on your controller, the left back button thing, whatever it is called. That should call up the practice menuLast edited by BL8001; 09-23-2014, 04:27 PM.resident curmudgeonComment

Couple quick notes:
--Still can't do 12 minute halves, which is a major disappointment to me, but I will do 10 minute halves this year. I did 15 minute halves last year because of its pacing issue and it took me the full 12 month FIFA cycle to make it through 5 career seasons. I play an average of one game or so per day. 15 minute halves take too long.
--Difficulty this year is insane. World Class is so hard that it almost feels broken. You can get stuck in, park the bus, etc. and still get battered. I think Pro is quite possibly this year's World Class. Sliders will make a big difference I'm sure.
--BL8 pointed it out elsewhere, but there are so many camera angles that work wonderfully! *gasp* My favorite might be...END TO END! It feels like you're part of a team playing football instead of playing a video game that looks like TV. I might actually play that camera angle because it makes midfield link-up play 1000x more effective/intuitive.Comment
