Re: BPL Manual League
Good job on the updated OP, guyao!
I do like to press high from time to time no matter the score as I feel it fits with my attacking 4-3-3 formation. But I will only do it moderatly and in situations when I feel like a real life team might press as well like after I play a long ball that gets intercepted or something like that.
I definitely won't press anywhere close to all game though as that is completely unrealistic and annoying, but every now and then I will test my opponents build up play
Looking forward to getting some fixtures done this weekend!Comment

Re: BPL Manual League
Plus, i'll reiterate what i've said on groupme.
I disagree on the high pressure rule. If you watch teams like Bayern&Dortmund play you'll see that they apply high pressure pretty much the entire game unless they have reached a fairly comfortable position in the scoreboard.
U gotta be cautious in discerning which rules are universally accepted and which rules are solely designed out of a desire to make the game more comfortable and less challenging for you.
Otherwise, i wholeheartedly agree.
I just don't like the prospect of players complaining of losing against an opponent who applies near-constant high pressure, not the full 90 min as that is way too unrealistic and i like realism my self.
I can't just allow good players like your self to play your tiki-taka game just because we want to establish a lofty match between our selves, i want to put pressure onto you. But, agreed, i will dose the amount of pressure i apply and give you room at certain points in the match.
Just expect a 70% high pressure if i am behind or on a draw. Unless you're the kind of opponent that does well under pressure, then i will defend more patiently.
It's just a realistic, and highly prominent feature of the game, guayo. If you have watched the Southern-American countries in WC you should have realized that high pressure can often be crucial in deciding the game's outcome.Comment

Re: BPL Manual League
High pressure is fine with me on full manual. I don't play that way but I'll cope. We have to be careful about wide sweeping rules like no pressure because that isn't realistic either.Originally posted by My Wife"The Celtics only won because they have a magical elf playing for their team...."Comment

Re: BPL Manual League
You can join the wait list, if enough people are on the waiting list there will be some type of tournament to keep you guys active. If replacements are needed activity + number on wait list will play a role to see who gets it. Also for next season we might do an expansion or two divisions (depending on the # of people we get and stick around).Comment
