So um how can i get a high rating with a GK?

Im playing my player career as a GK i get around 6.4 usually which is ok i guess

But when im not playing central ( on the penalty line ) when my team is on offense on away games the rating drops quick as heck

It's broken. Same thing happened last year. You just stand still, nowhere near the ball and your rating inexplicably plummets.

Doesn't matter, it does that to all positions.

Played a game with my pro at LW, scored 3 goals and gave an assist, ended up with a 7.4 rating.

Never out of position and generally did everything well, but for some reason the game just starts dropping your rating fast when not in possession of the ball.

Example:

I scored my second goal and went to a 9.1 rating. Just 1 minute later while the CPU had the ball, I dropped to a 7.6 rating. A whole point and a half drop, for seemingly no reason at all.

This happens every FIFA since they had a Virtual Pro option, playing as a single player instead of the whole team is yet again still pointless.

I enjoy playing GK in 11 on 11 games. I'm not in a Pro Club, but I think it's like "drop in games" like in NHL where everyone chooses a position. I played that position in youth soccer, so I like being a GK in FIFA, but I don't play it much against other users because the times that I've played, more often than not, I've been kicked out of the game, after giving up a goal or two in the first half. I got booted once after letting in a PK, which I thought was crazy. It just seems that my dives are too late when I push the RS, and the ball is past me when I dive. Maybe that's cause my rating is too low, so I would like to know how to get a high rating as well. I've had one great game online as a GK, where I stopped a penalty, and made about 9 saves and was man of the match. It was a fluke, cause I've never done it again.

Yeah i wish they would just throw the rating system out if they wont fix it

Also I've had my CAM have his rating go from 7.2 to 8.0 just by standing in the middle of the pitch.


Tried the goalie yesterday, it doesn't matter what you do if you concede you're gonna get low rating. I noticed thata if you have a save you can pump your rating with passing with your defenders. Basically doing Victor Valdez impersonation, suck at goalkeeping but deliver a great 20 yard pass
