I think you're right. I need to decrease them more. The one thing I worry about though, as we all know, is that the keepers in 15 are either unreal or shocking a lot of the time. So because of that, it's a bit hard to find the middle ground with keeper sliders. I'm hoping EA patches them to normalize them a bit.

Of course a proper patch would be the most logical solution, but we're all aware how that is working out so far.Comment

Re: Difficulty disparity from MM and play now
I know that at times playing in a CM can be frustrating, but you have to remember, the so called "better team" wins just 50% of the time in real life, this is not conjecture on my part, it's fact based on years of study of the big 4 European leagues. I've been reading a book called: "The Numbers Game, Why Everything You Know About Soccer Is Wrong"
I highly recommend it.Comment

I will say to improve your finishing, lay off the sprint while you gather to take your shot. you will see much improved accuracy. You will see a lot less missing the goal, and miracle saves with this.Comment

Re: Difficulty disparity from MM and play now
I agree with kashik. I play on WC and I've had more good games than I've had games that are too easy or too hard BUT sometimes the CPU is outright cheating.
Games where your team is clearly superior and getting 15+ shots on goal yet every single shot either:
1. hits the post
2. misses completely
3. is stopped by a godly save
And those games are super frustrating. I don't mind losing to a team that is playing better than me, on par with me, or is slightly worse but got the better shots. What I HATE is when a team who is so obviously playing awful gets the win, or a draw, because the computer has decided it's time I lost (or drew) a game.
What's worse is that these games are more common against low end teams, especially when it's a cup tournament. The amount of times I restarted so I could beat bloody Leicester. Grrr!Comment

Re: Difficulty disparity from MM and play now
But
I just finished the champs league final against Madrid. It was probably the easiest game I played all season. Won 5-1 in the end. I was actually expecting I'd be tossing my controller around in that match. Go figure, eh?Comment

Re: Difficulty disparity from MM and play now
I have to say that the adaptive ai is making this game basically unplayable for me right now. On the exact sliders I use with palermo and was able to have good games with and even squeek out a fluke win vs juve (and a loss vs sasualo) I'm being destroyed with man city.
At the half its 3-0 arsenal on me, and last game I was 5-0 losers to hull city. hull city. i really wish adaptive ai could be turned off and you can just use sliders consistently. of all the things that Ea has done wrong in fifa, which isnt too much, this one is just game killing for me. why do i have to spend so much time and effort each new career mode to fine tune non ******** sliders?Comment

Re: Difficulty disparity from MM and play now
Played a match earlier and in the first 5 minutes the CPU got a red card. For some reason after a team goes a man down it's almost impossible for me to beat them. (I'm not great at the game anyway, but you would think having a man advantage would help.) So this game I am up 1-0 going into the 90th minute. The CPU shoots a floater from mid field that gets a slight head bump from a player just inside the 18yd box. My goalie tips it almost straight up and it comes down behind him and into the net to tie the match.
I usually go into play now or seasons. Last night I played a couple Matchday Live games. What a difference. The CPU was unstoppable in the first 20 minutes. Both games I played (using Man U and Real Madrid) I found myself down 0-2 in the first 10 minutes. I watched a few replays and noticed that the defenders take horrible angles on the ball carrier and leave him wide open for a 1v1 with the GK. I saw it over and over. I was lucky to only give up 2 goals. The 2nd half of one game I could barely get past mid field before the CPU would just take the ball from me. It was quite a difference when playing the same two teams in play now.Last edited by saucerset; 10-05-2014, 06:24 AM.Comment
