    Help with team sheets

Last year FIFA woould let you use the cpu suggestions for mass subs during your career mode but this year you are giving suggestions individually, I know a good amount about soccer but I was wondering if anyone could give me suggestions on when to put in my second team like they do in real life. What I do now is use my starting eleven unless I have a fatigued player or an out of form player which then I would sub. Any pointers?

In preseason most of my team are real young guys that I will be trying to loan out, or wont realistically see much game time. I will continue to use some of these guys, with a few starting 11 eleven guys, for very early league cup games. If I play a weak side, I will rotate some of my starting 11 with guys that are either a little bit young/old or contending for a spot.

If you're in Champs League, I will rotate players in the group stage if I am very likely to progress. For league Cup games, I usually let me backup keeper take those games.

I like to give everyone a chance. If you let the young guys play, they can develop. If you let the old guys play, maybe their form and value will increase so you can sell them. If you let the backup keeper play, maybe he wont bitch so much about not playing.

Most "larger" clubs play their youngsters/squad players in the early stages of the league cup/FA Cup.

Most clubs also rotate in a few younger players/reserves is the early stages of Euro football, assuming it's not a "lose & you're out" match.

It all really depends on your squad depth. Some clubs carry a massive amount of players to allow for rotation in league play/cup play & european competitions. Other clubs are ill equipped to handle the grind of midweek matches and eventually get fatigued & burned out.

I personally rotate based on fatigue levels with a look ahead to my upcoming league fixtures. If there's an upcoming international break I'm more apt to play 1st team regulars in a less important match. Just know that its good to get playing time for the entire squad (less of the annoying complaints about playing more) to keep players happy, fresh, and gain matchday experience for youngsters.

When you sub in the reserves do you still keep some of your first team on the bench for that particular game?
