Online seasons subs issue

Need to know if other people are having this issue or how to fix it. I play on xbox one. So before a game I set up my starting 11 and make changes to which subs I have on the bench and which players are in reserves. I go into the game and my subs are not the people I chose. Example, i play with man city and if I start Edin Djeko and put Jovetic, another striker, as a sub, I'll go into the game and Jovetic is nowhere to be found. Yet if I start Jovetic, Dzeko is available as a sub. Another example is is I start david silva and Jesus navas at M, Samir Nasri will never be available as a sub for me once I go into the game even after I set him as a sub. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
