Re: FIFA 15 Career Mode - Depressed

I'm a FIFA noob so feel free to take this with a grain of salt but...

    • MM1-Karlsruher on WC. Waaaay out of my depth. Got killed regularly.

    • MM2-Athletico Madrid on WC. Better, but still fired at end of 1st season.

    • MM3-Barcelona on Professional. Spent the 1st half of the season around the middle of the table. Closed out winning the last 15-20 games. Messi led the league in goals, Neymar led in assists. Regularly scored 6+ goals. I picked up a lot of skills using a superior team on a lower difficulty.
    • MM4-Wycombe Wanderers on Professional. Currently 2-1 and the games have been fantastic. I really have to earn my goals now(I've scored 1,2, and 0 goals so far) and I seem to be at a personnel disadvantage in terms of both speed & skill. The one game I lost was a 1-0 loss where my goalie inexplicably punched a ball at the post that would have gone out for a GK. Instead his punch knocked it back into the field of play where it was put in.

Point is...I think you have to strike a balance between difficulty, sliders, and the team used to get the best experience. I'm going to move my Barcelona MM to WC for season 2 while staying on Professional for Wycombe for now. The game doesn't perfectly suited for every user right out of the box nor is perfection defined by just a few difficulty levels.

You say that if you lose you want it to be because you didn't move your guy fast enough of something. Well, guess how often gamers truly believe they didn't make the play? Somewhere around never. The only way to achieve the sense of unpredictability is to randomly (occasionally?) give teams/players a boost/drop in ability. As all games do, it takes a little imagination on your part to concede that your guys are 'playing well right now' or are 'struggling' right now.

The sad thing is that I am changing tactics and doing things that have proven to work and actually do get me the shots I need for goals yet that same shot, same position, same power against the same team on my second half of the season gets saved or even worse, my players just shoot the opposite side of the goal when i clearly pointed and held the controller to the other direction for the guarantee goal. It only happens in the league matches. I am in the champions league final and deutscher pokal final. Yet in the league I suddenly have 7 losses. Is there a way to reset the AI cheap ways or do I just have to take the negative aspect of career mode and just suck it up?
I had the same issue but eventually still won the EPL with Liverpool. I noticed that I've lost games as I continues to mess with my tactics as I play a lt different online vs users than I do against the CPU. Once I figured out why I can and can't do I won the season and Cap1, but I lost in the UeFA. I was satisfied with everything and felt like it as sim an experience I would get.

My advice is jut like the game itself just pace yourself, you let frustration set in you'll have a bad 5 Gm stretch in a heart beat. I had to keep my self cool headed because you'll have your moments just like rea life. I went 5-1-0 Sunday might woke up Monday and went 3-3-1 tying with Norwich city of all clubs smh, so I was frustrated but ill get home today and I can't wait to kick some *** lol.

You really have to work with sliders IMO, I think they have done the best job to help fix the randomness and non-scripted feeling of the game. With the sliders that I'm now using (on Legendary mind you) I have had blowout wins in my favor such as beating Leicester 4-1 and other beatings, tight games that have gone either way like nil-nil draws and one goal games, and I even had Chelsea just bash me 4-0 at Stamford Bridge. So I think a combo of difficulty, sliders, and then of course lineup adjustments really goes a long way in making things play much more realistically in the game. You will see regressions and advancements and I think that is all just natural so even though the game may make certain fixtures tough, you have to account for all the circumstances that may cause this. Is the team you're facing fighting relegation? Are they in good form? Are they battling for a European place? All of these things make them play tougher than they may play in the early goings of the season and you have to account for that.

After a second season, I have to say that maybe there is something to what the OP is saying. I know I said I changed tactics etc etc, but after going through the second second I have noticed a huge jump on difficulty. I have a way better team this time around because of all the prize money so I know my team is straight, but I notice as I get deeper into a winning streak the harder teams seems to be. I just lost 4-1 against West brom -_-. And those goals were amazing a lot better than any bigger club I've played against. It was hands down, the best the cpu played. That stopped my 8 game winning streak. Currently I just hit a 7 unseated streak. 5 wins 2 draws and Cardiff freaking city played their arces off and almost got me until I drew again. Hmmmm it def something new this year, I guess I just have to adjust to the difficulty like on of the other posts said

You're Bayern Munich, that fact that it's to easy to win with them is realistic

At the end of the day you bottled it mate nothing to do with CPUs all down to you lacking the qualities to close out a season. Bottled it.
