Can you still run over defenders with good teams and players after the patch?

Can powered attackers easily dribble through CPU teams still after the patch?

Why would you not be able to "run over" defenders with good teams and players if you are playing the game properly?

I should be able to run past a slow player with a fast player before and after the patch.

I think he´s talking about the times were you can sprint through defense without no one even making an attempt to chase you or tackle or whatever.
I´ve seen it in some vids but for me it looked like the defenders got confused and wainting for someone to make the first step... sometimes happens in real life too, everybody waiting for someone to press the ball carrier and in the end no one does.

Of course if it happens alot its a bad thing, but in my career mode, WC and default sliders I can´t abuse the defense on that way so I´m good with it.

Try changing the CPU aggressiveness to 90 and playing on "world class" See how well you do :-)

I honestly do have a problem with this. I sometimes don't understand the reaction time on some of these defenders. I can see how ppl can get crossed up but when I want to double someone, why most of the time my defender takes a horrible angle? Yet the cpu always stops your runs. Then when you play online ppl abuse this all day. I'd hate to do it myself but you have no choice online. It's such a love hate thing with fifa lol

I wouldn't go as far as saying you have no choice.. I don't have a problem stopping people who abuse the sprint and by the end of the game they are pulling hamstrings left and right. It's all about timing. If someone is sprinting there is an opening to take the ball you just to take advantage of it.

I think the OP is asking about running by CPU teams anyway and you just said "CPU always stops your runs". chances are if you are ALWAYS getting stopped youre doing something wrong.

That's on professional, on world class it would've been a lot tougher but you just have to read the defenders.

I've played on World Class since I've got this game, and have been able to abuse defenders with faster players for easy goals. With the patch it's less effective, but still really really possible.

It's a combination of the bursting issue (without modified sliders) and poor defending programming (man marking versus zonal).

Maybe I should clarify, I feel as though the user AI on the back line is pretty stupid when the cpu is making a run, even worst when your up against a user. But the cpu AI is always, for the most part, crowding the dribbler, they seem to be at the right place at the right time. I catch myself leaving my back line alone and just using the cdm or cm to help. Because once you switch to a CB it's game over cause they're always a delay in reaction. Even of you are trying to hit the same direction they were going to, the switch is not seamless, therefore you get a lot of ppl abusing kickoff runs or just running up the middle with your Messi, Ronaldo, etc.

I always play on legendary, for pre-patch, I have no problem defending AI, but I can run them over no problem with Di Maria and Valencia as I used Man Utd, I can get pass them almost 90% of the time, for post-patch, everything seems to be better, but I haven't played enough to conclude, so wonder if anyone who play enough can tell me or the rest of us if the problem is fixed???
