    Question about disabling transfers

I am brand new to career mode. I am interested in doing the player career, but I wanted to play my first season with the rosters being what they actually are in real life so I thought by disabling first summer transfers that would give me what I wanted. However, as I simmed up to my first season game (I am Diego Costa) I noticed the CPU making transfers i.e Rooney to Real Madrid among others. I thought by turning the first summer transfers off, that no moves would be made by any teams? I am very disappointed because I dont want to play against teams that are not accurate. After the first season id be fine with transfers, but not until then! What does that disable feature even do? Does it only turn off transfers for the team which your guy plays for? (which in my case is Chelsea) Thats stupid.

I know that someone will probably suggest just doing a EPL tournament mode, but I really wanted to be able to do that plus the Champions league and stuff.

Not sure how far you simmed but theres a 2nd transfer window in January. If you disabled the first window you shouldn't even be allowed to make transfers. You shouldnt see the arrow icons on your calendar like you do during the transfer window.

I only went up to the very first game. When I looked transfer news, there were transfers being made by other clubs like the aforementioned Rooney to Real Madrid (my team just had rumors). There lies the confusion because I dont understand what was disabled when I turned that off!

But given what you said, I guess I am just screwed anyway since you said theres another transfer window in January, which I couldnt turn off even if I wanted to. Guess Ill just have to deal with it, but its annoying.

You DID choose on rather than off, right? The way they have it worded is sort of confusing.

          This.

I had to read through it twice last night to ensure that I was selecting the correct option, as it is indeed a bit confusing the way it is worded.

It gives a discription when you go to that part...Something along the lines of "disabling the transfer window will prevent you from summer transfers"

Idk exactly but its near there. When I start a career I always turn that off because no teams have changed yet. Once January comes I start making adjustments. Im almost in my january window of second season and to tell you the truth, im more excited about that then playing the games. I need to retool liverpool as stevie g is retiring and a couple guys in the offseason window didnt pan out to be worth crap.
