    Editing Players Positions - winger?

I'm trying to edit some of Arsenal's players before starting a CM.

I'd say guys like Walcott, Cazorla, Podolski (for sure), Silva, Campbell, etc. are Left Wingers (LW) or Right Wingers (RW), not Left Midfielders (LM) or Right Midfielders (RM) as they are listed in the game.

When I edit them to forward, the options are Left-Central-Right, but that makes them Left Forwards (LF). Arsenal doesn't really play LF or RF as opposed to wingers. Any way to make them wingers?

This is the first year they've had them as MF, instead of W. Annoying.

they need to be outside the box to be wingers, have you tried using a 433 and adjusting from there?

I just meant like their default position, and how they're listed in game. It's a small thing really, but I'd like them to show as forwards, but not as LF and RF, as LW and RW. I know the designation still exists, as Alexis is shown as a RW.

I dont think it will impede your chemistry to be honest. Sticking Walcott further up top isn't going to suddenly make him slower, so there are no consequences in this regard. Annoying aesthetically but i dont think the coders are going to prioritise this.

The only difference between LM and LW in FIFA world is their positioning and thus runs they make. An LW regen might have better shooting and agility than a LM though.

Yeah, I don't think so either. It is mainly the aesthetics of it. It's weird though, that you used to be able to do it, at least I thought you could. It's weird that in "edit player" all positions aren't available. Oh well. Thank you for the help though.
