Manager mode: too much early success

Do you find that too much early success in your manager mode is a huge turn off and you find yourself starting over with harder sliders?

I think I had my sliders a little too far on the easier side and wound up with Palermo in 4th place, challenging for 2nd and 3rd late in year 2. I've spent the day at work thinking about restarting with someone else and harder sliders.

That happened to me a lot last year. With a balanced slider set I almost never lose, but I don't like the idea of putting myself at disadvantage to make it more competitive. What I've started doing now is if I win 5 games in a row I'll sim the 6th and/or 7th.

Too much success? What difficulty are you playing on? Because there was a thread about how the cpu will screw you over with any undefeated streak you may have. I was cruising through my first year until maybe a little over half season. Was up about 20 points and suddenly startrd drawing and losing games I shouldn't. Ended up winning the Cap one Cup and the season title by 4 points.

I definitely noticed that the difficulty went up as I was running away with the league. My second season I'm really struggling even though I feel like I have a lot better team. Picked up Pogba, Jordi, luakaku to replace Sturridge who was sold for a cool 108m. Anyways, I guess I'm having a completely different experience than you guys lol.

I raise a question that I'm sure will be shot down, but do you think that you (collectively) get complacent when constantly winning all the time?

I find myself giving up stupid goals when I'm leading--just trying to finish out the game and I don't pay as close attention.

          Maybe it's just me though...

If I learned something with Fifa it was to defend harder for sure. Now I know that if I score a goal, most likely CPU will get all over me and I just concentrate on defense. When I do it properly, other oportunities open up because CPU overcommits in attack, leaving gaps in defense wich I can explore. Usually, I´m the one who scores again. Very tense moments sometimes and there are some matches were I keep a clean sheet and I breathe deep as soon as its over ahah.
