And the Cpu actually shot from long range. It caught me off guard the first time they did,the go just managed to parry it away.
Even before the update I was fouled 4 games a row in the box as well as a red card outside of the box in Career Mode.

Im definitely finding it harder to win since the update last week. Think I was on an unbeaten run of about 10 games before the patch, lost 2 out of 3 since the update. Could just be my run coming to an end I guess, dunno.

After a few more games with the latest update, I'm really seeing better defending from the AI especially when they are defending in their 18 yard box. They are clearing balls into the box out for corners instead of trying to dribble the ball out of the area. I've never had so many corner kicks per game in my life.

Anybody having an issue with scout names in career mode now being stupid ?

          Some have 4 names

Some are have asian and half Spanish or just flat out random

One guy from Spain was dingwall Sanchez Motta Jeremy

I kid you not, and all the prospects are the same

I haven't seen or noticed a huge change in defensive positioning since the update and I've put in roughly 10-15 career mode matches with Derby. Fullbacks still tuck-in too tight to the CBs and the back 4 in general plays with too much emphasis on zonal principles.

I often notice my defenders sprinting back to an area while abandoning the immediate threat (guy with the ball). To compound it the backline will often be too flat which would be ideal if we're playing a high-line but we're not.

It's also still too easy to make 3-4 marauding runs a game with a pacey player. These are the kind of runs you see from elite players like Bale, Ronaldo, Messi, and Hazard, not Jordan Ibe and Johnny Russell. IRL you'd see these players get fouled, nothing malicious, just professional fouls warranting a yellow card.

Funny enough, KG - I made a video the other day on that exact issue regarding the defensive line. It definitely started appearing post patch, as pre-patch all was fine in that regard:

and, fyi, our progression on the current slider set in the OS slider thread, gameplay is getting there:
