Found A Glitch

It's the start of the 2018 World Cup and I'm managing the US National Team. We play 2 games and Clint Dempsey, the captain, now a 75 overall has 2 goals doing great. The 3rd game comes around of the opening round and Dempsey isn't on my roster anymore. Since the World Cup starts in early-mid June, it occurs before the end of a season in Career mode terms. So when the new season is generated, its still during the middle of the tournament. If a player is on a national team and retires, they disappear. So basically, Clint Dempsey called it quits on his country lol

I'm with the United States, too, so thanks for the heads up! I'll make sure and keep saving the game and hope that I can get him to stick around.

It's not going to matter because he retired. It happened to me in 14 with Buffon he announced his retirement and after the new season started he was gone every time.

Well THAT sucks. He's been my top goal scorer. Guess I need to devote more time to Zardes, then, because Jozy hasn't exactly been reliable for me.

Yea it does, I don't understand why the game lets it happen but it does. I would definitely go another route when picking my squad. I probably wouldn't include many of the older guys like Dempsey, Beckerman, etc. because they may end up retiring on you.
