List of formations used by team?

I'm looking for a good list of formations used by the major teams across Europe--and perhaps international formations as well.

Any input is appreciated.

Is it safe to assume that the 'default' formation listed on the game is what teams use most often?

It appears that the most often seen formation was some variation of a 4-5-1...

Depends on your style really. 4-3-3 and 5-3-2 are what I usually use. Also 4-4-2 but not as much.

I know in my FIFA career Man Utd use a 4-2-2 diamond wide. Chelsea use a 4-4--1-1 formation. Bayern use a 4-3-3 false 9 that's all I know! But I am like 5 seasons in now.

that's wrong. Bayern use a 3-5-2 formation. that depends of the rival. Guardiola, since the arrive of Lewandowski, is not using the false 9 strategy anymore. the 2 fowards are Robert and Müller

Milan uses a 433 with two attacking mids and either de Jong when healthy or Essien, turns it into a false nine when Menez is up top instead of the disappearing man Torres

that's wrong. Bayern use a 3-5-2 formation. that depends of the rival. Guardiola, since the arrive of Lewandowski, is not using the false 9 strategy anymore. the 2 fowards are Robert and Müller

It's really hard to pin down what formation's Pep use. Yes he uses a 3-5-2 but that also turns into a 5-4-1 when defending. I watched the Bayern vs Man City game the other week. It's almost as if they don't stick to one formation, throughout the game they were constantly changing. It was amazing to see. Even though they lost the game, it was still interesting to see from a tactical standpoint.

Yes and no, sometimes the updates will skew things based on the formations teams used that week even though the team's "typical" lineup might be different. A few weeks ago, Tottenham was updated to the 4-4-2 formation that swaps the CAM with a second striker just behind the main striker but I believe Pochettino still prefers to use a 4-2-3-1 (4-5-1 in this year's game). Of course, I'm not sure there is much of a difference between the two formations.

don't see that anyone has mentioned it but Barcelona plays the 4-3-3 with a single CDM and false nine, it was the 4-3-3(5) last year but not sure if it is the same slot in this year's game.

That's wrong they use a 4-2-3-1. The back is Rafinha, Boateng, Martinez, Alaba. The CDMs are Bastian and Lahm. The AMs are Ribery, Goetze, Robben. And the ST is Lewandowski.

i normally go for a 4-2-3-1, however if im chasing the game i change to what is essentially a 4-1-2-3 with my normal back 4, a defensive mid, 2 really wide players and 3 strikers
