How long does a player have to be retired before his regen appears?

It all depends on when the player retires. So let's say that Drogba retires after the first season. His regen should be either on Chelsea or somewhere else in the BPL. Just look for a Cote D'ivoire ST that has the potential indicator for his overall. He will also have same weak foot and skill moves lvl as Drogba. The player necessarily on Chelsea he could be somewhere else. And if the players not in the same league you have to look at the rest of the world.

Yeah did all that and couldn't find him. I know how they work, he was not there the season after Drogba retired. No strikers even showed up in the BPL from Ivory Coast Between ages 16-22

Then you have to search the rest of the world.

Thats weird because I was Chelsea, and I didn't sell him, so I know for a fact he retired in the BPL

Well from what I have seen on YouTube, the regen doesn't always appear in the same country that the player retired in.

Cristiano Ronaldo retired on me and no Portugese left wingers ever appeared... in ANY league. He retired in 2019.

Well from what I have seen on YouTube, the regen doesn't always appear in the same country that the player retired in.

From my experience they have always turned up in the same league they retired in, with one exception.

That exception is if you have the player on your team, the regen will appear as a free agent.

This is not always true. I brought back Arjen Robben to Chelsea and he re appeared at West Brom.
