I'm playing and simming a lot and backup keepers play just a few games, as it should be. Example for Chelsea: Courtois 45 stamina, Cech 30, Schwarzer 20. In january Courtois has 14 games, Schwarzer 4 (still too many in my opinion, lol) and Cech 2. Everton: Howard 45 stamina, Robles 30. Howard 18 games, Robles 0!

Well, I tried the stamina thing. It may have helped SOME, but it's still definitely the form that decides who plays. Bumped De Gea up to a 90 overall and in January, he had started 1 game and had a 5. something in his form. That one bad match completely messed up the whole season. Smh. I think we're just screwed.

Mmmm, that's strange. I changed the stamina value only, 45 for De Gea, 20 for Lindegaard and Amos. Simmed several seasons and in January De Gea is always the starter. I simmed another season right now. In January De Gea has 18 games, Lindegaard 1 and Amos 0. Simmed to the end of the season and De Gea was sold, but Courtois had 34 starts for Chelsea, Howard 36 for Everton, etc.

I gave De Gea a 55 in stamina. He just had a bad first match and was never given another opportunity. Lindegaard took over and kept the job. Joe Hart kept his form up, so he kept starting. Like I said earlier, it's cool that teams play "in form" players, but sometimes it just kills the realism when you know who SHOULD be the starter.

Never happened to me. I even saw injured Lloris coming back as a starter after a couple of games out, or Courtois confirmed as a starter after a 0-4 loss. Try to set the stamina at 45 max. Don't know why, but when I put it at 50 it didn't work 100%. So far so good for me, but the career mode is crappy anyway.

In my manager mode I'm just not seeing this problem. Either in my league or Europe. Games are properly portioned out from starter to backup.

Just ran up the score against City to try and help Hart overtake Caballero. Scored 11 goals on him...and he finished with a 7.1 rating. Seriously. Goalkeeping is glitched. He DID make 9 saves, but come on. He gave up 11 goals!!! Apparently saves are EXTREMELY overvalued in this system. I give up. Gonna play Far Cry 4 for a while. This is giving me a headache.

I think that goals or ratings don't matter. As I wrote, I scored 4 goals on Courtois but he didn't lose his job after I changed the stamina value. I'm already in my third season and things are going quite good. Hart always started for Man City until he was sold, same for Courtois, Howard and others. The problem is the low stamina value. Hazard is always benched for Chelsea, and guess, he has a totally wrong stamina value, too low to be real. That's why he never starts. EA should edit all those values.

I guess after the transfer period ends in real life, I'll get the next squad update and go to work editing some of those things. My OCD just kills me on stuff like that.

FWIW ... I just played the *first* match of my career mode (as Swansea) and we were away at Manchester United ... and Lindegard was starting in goal (with De Gea on the bench). I am not sure if form or stamina could be the explanation for this.

                            Womp womp.

Well, as I said, editing stamina helped me. Really, it NEVER happened again to see Lindegaard, Schwarzer, etc. starting regularly. I don't think my FIFA copy is special Have you tried, just as a test, to put starter's stamina at 45 and backup's at 20? Nothing changed? If not, well, I surrender
