Unable to recieve gifts
Alright so my friend gifted me some boots through the catalogue and when I went to redeem them, it said I'm not able to redeem them right now. Please try again later. Now when I go to the catalogue it doesn't even pop up. Can someone please helpTags: None -

give it time, sometimes there are disconnects between friends. try doing it when you are both in the game, he is in the catalog and you are sitting in the main menu not in the catalog. sometimes that has fixed it, sometimes it just needs time... -

Its also broken. Been that way for 2 if not 3 versions now.
I have plenty of trouble tickets in to EA over the past two years regarding this issue.
Its annoying.
Basically any new items added to the catalog are at a very high risk of not being gifted correctly but STILL costing the one who sends the gift their coins.
The receiver of the gift cant get the gift and that is the end of it.
EA may care to get back to you when you create a trouble ticket with a full explanation and attach photos as evidence/proof of the issue.
But they will get back to you with a form email that says case closed, insufficient evidence.

Here is the EA letter I got recently.
"Hello,
Thank you for your patience during our investigation of your FIFA Ultimate Team account inquiry.
Unfortunately, we are unable to verify any lost in-game assets and cannot grant you any compensation. We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause."
I immediately went back to the ticket and reopened it. I have photos from the person who sent the gift, I have photos of me accepting the gift and I have photos of the item still locked.
What they mean by insufficient evidence is, we cant be bothered to look at your attachments even though we offer you the ability to attach images for your case.resident curmudgeonComment

I got the new Nike shine through boots, which were put in recently assuming, sent and I got a message after I said Okay and then a box came up saying I can't retrieve them and try again later. Well for one I cant try again Cause it completely disappears and doesn't Show up again. Very frustrating. Will they ever fix it so you can receive them?Comment

Not to my knowledge. It was the exact same thing last year. Content in the catalog initially can all be gifted.
Anything added last year was a waste of time and ffc trying to gift.
This year its been the same way.
After trying about 5 of the new items added my friend and I got gunshy and dont want to waste ffc experimenting with EA's broken system knowing they wont do any compensation or even acknowledge the issue.resident curmudgeonComment
