Match Rating Reduction While on the Bench

    Greetings,

I've noticed something in my 'be a pro' career that I find perplexing and... well, just frustrating .

Because my player is a young CAM, his stamina is not as high as it will be (obviously). He therefore cannot regain all is energy between games that are closely scheduled. This leads to his being substituted before the end of the game sometimes. When he leaves the pitch, I check his match rating... let's say that the rating was an 82. I have noticed that my players rating will decrease despite no longer being in the game!!!

    My question, therefore, is:

Why in the world would a player's performance grade reduce when they are no longer on the pitch? Is this a bug in my game, or do others also experience this?

    Thanks for any info,

    Carson

In my opinion, player ratings have always been broken, and never really worked right. Id say they were better in 12 than they have been since. Ive seen my rating go down on the bench, Ive seen my player make the right play and be docked points, ive seen him make the right play and with nothing else happening get docked points, rewarded points then docked points again - all kinds of weird stuff happens.

It happens in Manager Mode, too. If you make a substitute, his rating will start to drop when he comes out of the match. Makes zero sense.

It must be a bug in the script. I imagine that the code fails to distinguish between those players who are in the game and those who are on the bench. The game must rate the subbed out players as if they are on the pitch yet not producing. I'll report it to EA, but I think that the likelihood of them actually fixing the (or even reading the bug report) to be dubious at best.
