So when I try to buy a player it tells me their value. For example I'm going after a guy whose value is only $180,000. It then gives me the option to set the "offered transfer sum". How much should I enter in to that? I just want to make sure I'm doing this right. Would I enter slightly more than $180,000 to "sweeten" the deal. Don't get how the transfers work lol. Please help.

need help with transfer offer
I'm fairly new to soccer and I want to make sure I'm offering the correct money for a player and not overpaying.

Re: need help with transfer offer
Sometimes you can get them cheaper if there contract is about to expire. If they're a young promise then you'll probably have to pay more. Scouting aids you when you look for what their true value is.
Future fee is what you would pay for the player in the end of the loan deal if you wanted to keep him. For example, you get player x on loan in August and you put the future fee at a million. In May before his loan expires you will get a notice asking if you want to keep the player or not. Also you'll need to have a million in funds available, if not he goes back to his team no matter what.Comment

Re: need help with transfer offer
so all the "offered transfer sum" is what I'm willing to pay for a player? If its telling me a player is worth between $600,000 and $800,000 then I would have to enter a number in that range in "offered transfer fund" to get a team to sell me that player?
as for the loan, say a players value is $500,000....what should I enter for the future fee? Would I enter what his value is?
lastly, what happens when I enquire about a player? I pressed it and nothing happened.Comment

There are a number of factors that come into play that affect the cost of a player such as age, form, potential, years left etc. the value is a rough guide but higher end players for these factors tend to be sold for more than their value indicated.
Enquiring basically asks the clubs with the player pure after for how much they be willing to sell them for you. This tells you straight up what they'd want but you can but players cheaper if you don't enquire. You just gotta wait a few days after enquiring to get a response.Comment

For loans it's always more than their current value.
If you enquire they'll give you a bloated amount. Scout! Ha.Comment

Re: need help with transfer offer
Winning cup matches will earn you more money, but you won't get a significant amount of money unless you survive until the later rounds of the competition. You will also get more money at the end of the season depending on how well you did.Comment

Re: need help with transfer offer
I'd say start out around the estimated value you get after scouting a player. If the player has less than a year on his contract, try to offer a low ball price. If it gets rejected, offer a little bit more. Repeat the process until you and the computer agree on a price.Comment
