    Tournament mode presentation question...

Just a question to others who may play offline tournament mode for regular club seasons (Premier League, etc). The presentation on PC is brilliant with all the Barclay's branding but I just won the season and there was nothing in the way of presentation of being champion. Do they not do anything in FIFA when you play seasons in tournament mode?? How disappointing if that's true. I won the game that mathematically clinched me the title and got nothing in the way of presentation showing that.

The presentation on the pitch happens after the last regular season game. The announcers will mention that you've won the league (or got promoted) when it happens, but hoisting the trophy, fireworks, etc. happens after the final game.

Cool. Thanks. When I mathematically won the title nothing happened. But I haven't played that last match yet.

Are you sure this happens in Tournament mode? I just played the last game and all that happened was that they said, "well, its been a great season...yeah cant wait for the next one...." Finished. Maybe you're talking about career mode?

Yeah, I was. Sorry. My problem with playing a league inside Tournament Mode is all the frills are removed and its a bare bones experience. For me, part of the fun of playing a league season is participating in the transfer windows, dealing with players bitching about not playing, etc.

Aha! Ok, got ya. All those extras (transfers, injuries, fantasy elements) are, in fact, exactly what I don't like about any sports games' "franchise" modes. I want nothing but the game experience but without anything removed presentation-wise from the game. FIFA is just the most stripped down game in its basic tournament mode. The "other game" does a really good job of giving you a good tournament even with other tournaments embedded into the season like Champions League, etc.
