CPU Subs

Every game I've played until the last two the CPU has used all 3 of its subs. In the last 2 games they've only used 1 or 2 of them. Why is this, im just curious because I don't know much about soccer.

May use 2 so they can have an extra sub there in case someone gets injured.

It's very common to see teams use all 3 subs in a game, if a player tires, they'll send someone on to inject some pace and fresh legs in the game, can often make a big difference on World Class or Legendary. I was leading 1-0 v Liverpool in a game, they put so much pressure on me, then brought on Balotelli who set up a goal and then scored their winner in injury time. Cruel way to lose a game haha but it shows the impact subs can make.

I'm glad they use the subs as in past games they didn't use them as aggressively. So if you are losing they will sub in more defensive players making it tougher for you to score or if your ahead they will put in speedy attackers and some games if I had tired defenders they would be able to beat them and keep up high pressure on my goal more like real life.

PS some games I had used all 3 my subs and all the years I played fifa never went down to 10 men as it seems your players never get injured if you have 0 subs left so there's no real penalty to use all 3. Another sub problem is GK CPU always waste a spot on bench for backup GK yet all years playing fifa never had a GK get injured or seen CPU GK injured so I use all outfield players on the bench.

PS some games I had used all 3 my subs and all the years I played fifa never went down to 10 men as it seems your players never get injured if you have 0 subs left so there's no real penalty to use all 3. Another sub problem is GK CPU always waste a spot on bench for backup GK yet all years playing fifa never had a GK get injured or seen CPU GK injured so I use all outfield players on the bench.

Finally fell victim to the 3 subs used up problem, used all 3 and when it got to extra time, my LB got injured, menu pop-up pretty much forcing me to carry on haha. Agree with GK's not being needed on the bench. If you don't have one on bench either, your GK will never get sent off, tried everything to test it out and never been sent off. Yet with a GK on the bench, a little love tap got me a red haha!

I used to think there was no risk of not carrying an extra GK on the bench....until it cost me a game.

I had an awesome 1st half and was up 3-0 of an FA cup game when right at the end of the 1st half my GK was sent off. Had that horrible "oh crap" moment. Uh....put a random guy in goal and went on with things. Of course I give up the PK that went with the red card... So up 3-1 at at half....down a man and with a CB in goal. I did my best to kill the time but they scored a few that never should go in. I managed to add a goal as well, going up 4-3 and thought I was set...until the added time equalizer. GAH. Ended up losing 5-4 in extra time. Cost me my chance at the FA cup that year.

But....that is 1 game of hundreds...so I don't worry about it.

In my career my GK got a red and had to use a outfield player for the last 30. I lost that game 4-2 if im not mistaken and they were crap goals cause i had a crap defender.
