Manual Controls in FUT

I want to play FUT with manual controls.. when I play the settings are on manual, but it seems like it's still giving me assists. Am I missing something? In career mode, manual controls seem less forgiving. Maybe it has to do with the chemistry or maybe it's supposed to be easier in FUT?

It does seem like FUT has different constants and sliders than other modes. I've noticed differences between games I play in FUT and online friendlies. Career mode is different since I use custom slider in that. But I do play full manual. For a while I played manual vs manual FUT friendlies with bronze only squads within a friend group, and it's a blast. That's the mode I enjoy most but not more than one or two I could find on PS4. FUT takes a couple different factors into account. So it's not surprising. Just deal with it I guess I'm waiting for the day they will separate FUT into a clearly defined two worlds, one being manual controls. Then I wouldn't mind spending more time in FUT and its seasons.
