If you're saying before games in FUT I can set player roles to specific things like stay back while attacking/get forward/overlap/stay central etc. then I must have completely missed it. I've only played 2 games and it was pretty late last night so I didn't mess around with it much. If you meant the roles like short/long free kick and team captain those were not what I was talking about.

In Online Seasons (not FUT) you can do all of these things before it takes you to a game. There isn't a matchup screen where both players ready up it just puts you into a game.

Okay so I think we're sort of close to being on the same page. "Online Seasons" exist in both FUT and just normal games.

And yes you can set those player roles in FUT. You can also set free kick taker etc. as well. You can do all this before trying to sync up for a match. So it has the same functionality as base Online Seasons, where you do it is just slightly different I think.

I'm getting the UT edition but other than that I'm really gonna try to not spend any $ on UT this year. I spent $200-$250 between coins and points last year so yeah I'm not trying to do that again ..also I got a warning from EA and I'm not risking my account any further.

Good thing I've gotten better at trading..

You were right! If anyone else is interested, when you're looking at your squad press Y for squad actions then go to player instructions. It's awesome that they added this. Can't move anybody for custom formations until you're in game but this is still pretty awesome. First game Illaramendi had much better positioning as a holding mid and let Rafinha and Rakitic make forward runs. Scored 4 compared to the 1 I had in my previous 2 games.

No idea how I didn't see it, I'm on that screen all the time. I always change player roles and even kit numbers on every squad. It's cool though I caught it early this year

as of now i think using 15k coins to enter the fut draft tourney is better than buying packs with your coins.

if you win the fut draft tourney the prize packs are decent and ive gotten decent players both times i won.

3-5-2 and 4-3-2-1(2) are the formations im enjoying using right now.

since i packed rooney ive been building a bpl team. yea yea lame i know

So what badges/kits will you guys be rolling with?

Do you generally match kits with their badges? Or do you match home/away kits?

Or do you keep all 3 completely independent of each other?

I only match kits and badges when I'm doing theme squads like my annual Red Bull Salzburg squad. Rest of the time I just go with club items that catch my eye.

I'll go with whatever I pack. I got the Super Deluxe version so I hope I strike gold with the early jumbo premium gold packs.

What's up with the preorder packs? I preordered the deluxe version and have input 2 different codes. One in the actual game box, and the other from my gamestop receipt yet, no packs.

Any insight...?

My preorder bonus packs showed up a couple of hours after I inputted the code when I signed in again on the PS4. Yours probably will too!
