Well I hate UT in all sports games but you should try getting the idiots who play it and buy all the packs and stuff to stop. It's the players buy sports games to play Pokemon cards in UT that have ruined the rest of the modes. If they weren't dropping all that money in UT then EA go back to spending time with career/player modes. Wish EA would release a seperate UT game that had all sports in it to let the normal games go back to the good old days with just career, franchise, be a player and club modes in all EA sports games and maybe we would get decent effort for those modes.

Re: Lack Of Transfers Again!
Actually, they would never go back. If People didn't play UT, they would add micro transactions to career and online modes. They gotta make that money. It would turn into NBA 2K. I love NBA 2K, but that game is riddled with micro transactions. Trying get people to spend a little extra here and there. Its ridiculous. And that is worse than UT. I hate UT. But I'll put up with it in EA games if it means no micro transactions in other modes.
I also think that until they overhaul the engine and support structures you're going to be limited to how much change you can enact within the modes. You really can't blame this on Ultimate Team.PSN ID: InhocmarkComment

Re: Lack Of Transfers Again!
What we CAN blame on Ultimate Team, as far as FIFA goes anyway, is that they WILL NOT communicate with you if you try and ask them about anything other than FUT. If you have a question or concern about Manager Mode or the like, you're out of luck, because they have no interest in that.#LFC

Re: Lack Of Transfers Again!
If EA would complet overhaul the MM, i would even be comfort with an in-game money like 2k's VC. If that is the price for getting a legit mode for us offline players, I'm fine. Look at 2k16 MYGM mode and compare it to that little FIFA sh*t mode. Its like playing quick game after quick game, without any depth. Training is a good feature, but the rest of the mode has so much unused Potential, it's not even fun anymore.Comment

Re: Lack Of Transfers Again!
Big names changing teams isnt "unrealistic" at all - I completely disagree with this notion. ALL types of transfers have happened in soccer over the years - I hardly view any that happen in this game as "unrealistic" at all
The problem is much more related to the lack of transfers. Most teams only make 1 or 2 player swaps a year, which is drastically low. Teams in real life are often quite crazy about how much they change up their teams on a year to year basis. We need to see a bit more of this for sure.Comment

Re: Lack Of Transfers Again!
Actually its very unrealistic to see the same 10 top players switching teams every 6-12 months. We don't mean a top player moving team. We mean the same top players constantly playing musical teams every transfer window.

Alaba (50 Million €) to Juventus. That's so unrealistic, it's almost hilarious. Oh and Boateng to Chelsea. Bayern let 2 absolute key players walk in the same transfer period is absolute sh*t.Comment

Re: Lack Of Transfers Again!
The only thing that appears to be the "same" is that Alaba seems to move to Juventus at the beginning of the first transfer window everyone has, which I will agree is quite interesting and probably not a good thing to have alot of players experience..
But come on. I'm just a bit skeptical of the "realistic trades and transfers" when people complain about them in franchise/career modes. The amount of real life transfers that would have been decried as "unrealistic" on OS is numerous.Comment

Re: Lack Of Transfers Again!
Agreed. The real life transfer market is so unpredictable that I don't care if big name players move 2-3 times in 5 years.
Look at Falcao-- 2 years ago you would have never guessed that he would play for 3 different teams in the next 2 seasons. Sterling moves from Liverpool to Man City, Schweinsteiger to Man Utd and then Man Utd signing De Gea to a new contract and paying 50M for Martial who had never played a full 90 mins at the professional level. Football transfers are nuts.
The issue in Fifa really comes down to a lack of transfers/loans and lack of adaptable formations.
For example, clubs sometimes buy too many strikers in Fifa. This wouldn't be a problem if the teams changed formations to accommodate the increased number of strikers or if they played players out of position.
Unfortunately, what ends up happening is you have Rooney, Martial and Benzema on the same team with only one of them playing in any given match. What should happen is that the team should play two upfront or try to play Rooney as a CAM and Benzema as the main striker.
If you can't have adaptive formations, the best solution would be something akin to the PES penalty system. That is to say, in PES, you can play guys in any position but they take a penalty to their stats depending on where they play. For example, Gareth Bale is 86 as RM, if you move him to ST he becomes and 83, if you play him as CB he drops to 65.
This type of penalty system would allow the CPU to play the best players they have at any given position. In the Bale example, you might have 5 CBs that are 55OVR, and 2 RMs that are 88OVR. In FIFA, Bale would sit on the bench unless he has a secondary position that he can play. With the penalty system, the CPU would consider playing him as a CB because he is better than what else they have.
I know it is an extreme example, but I hope it just simplifies the idea I'm trying to convey.
All that said, there are already a couple of PC mods addressing the transfer issue for those of you playing on your computers.

Re: Lack Of Transfers Again!
Transfers are a big joke again...
Seems like Bayern wants to sell their whole defense in nearly every manager mode.
Sold Alaba for 57 Million to Juvents and Boateng for 55 Million to Barca.
Off course they didnt get any replacements...
I'm so pissed that I trusted EA when they said they fixed transfers...Comment

Re: Lack Of Transfers Again!
I really don't care if big name guys move clubs twice in 2 year period. I can absolutely see that happening these days.
Seems Bayern is selling in every one's MM. They sold Boetang in mine, but they also bought Hazard from Chelsea right after that. Not sure if Chelsea bought a replacement for Hazard tho.
When I play these games, I actually like letting whatever happen, happen. It becomes my own game world where the unpredictable happens. But to each their own.Comment
