I didn't know about that trick. I assume you set that before the end of each season?

Yes, in 14-15 your team goals were set by the ratings of your starting 11 and 7 subs. So, if right before year end you put all low rated players in then you got lower goals. Team prestige still affected them. An example Man United is not going to be asked to avoid relegation no matter how bad your first 18 are. But you can get it where they do not expect you to win BPL and Europe.
If the goals are slightly more realistic this year then I won't do it. But if expected to Win The League every year that is kinda unreal. No manager is actually expected to win the league every year.Last edited by SpritePuck; 09-21-2015, 07:07 PM.Comment

Interesting. I always just rolled with being fired.
The thing that always really made me angry was getting fired before the end of the season. Taking a new job. And then getting fired a few days later on that team for failing to meet the past managers goals. That really mad me angry a few times.

The put the bench on your team sheet as starters work around helps... And your goals are not going to be extremely low as prestiege and budget spent also impact them. You can just tone them down a shade, to something realistic.
Of course how 16 works I can not say...Last edited by SpritePuck; 09-21-2015, 07:15 PM.Comment

Also, would Pep be fired if they finished second this year, depending on why.. Like say injuries or something. Hypothetical and maybe he would.
You are correct many teams probably have that as the goal. I would imagine it is PSG, Real Madrid, Barca and others target goal to win their league. The more debateable thing would be does slightly missing it get one sacked?
My issue is FIFA will give you goals like that and winning all cups and you can be a far less dominant team than Bayern. Glad you pointed that out though. As you are correct the goal is in many cases realistic. So, the issue is not the goal set by the board but the result of falling slightly short.
