I don't have the sliders memorized enough to know what order they come in, but nothing looks too extreme.

I'm guessing they'd work on default sliders, also.

I tried this morning with Hull and couldn't get them to do hit it to forwards, though. Weird.

Kreb, do you think the longballs might also be influenced by the passing risk support tactic?

Maybe this number needs to be high, along with the offensive speed and distance tactics?

Going to do some more testing when I get home, but it was defiantly playing much like the demo did. Be home in an hour or so....intrigued to find out what's going on.

This might be the dumbest thing ever asked on here, but what happens when you set stuff using the generic tactic choices they give along with sliders set to 50 on everything?

I know this is stupid, just curious what happens if it's done.

I've tried with speed, pass distance, and pass risk on 100 and couldn't get frequent long balls forward.

Try with the generic long ball tactic, it seems to work for me although the cpu might change the tactic during the match sometimes. This works with default sliders. Played against Seattle Sounders and they sent a lot of long balls to the forwards.

Well, I've seen the long balls work for example, didn't try the other ones. Surprisingly the custom tactic with long ball was not working as well.

Ok, have tried it out on both PC and PS4 and it's definitely working, when I set the custom tactic to the previous page and switch the runners to get in behind, the cpu plays long ball.

Got a chance to play with updated rosters, and default sliders last night and something seemed to be clicking now and then.

I used the default "Long Ball" tactic on a team set up as 4-4-2 and they seemed to play it longer to the forwards more often than before.

I don't know what to think any longer.

did anyone remember that lobbed balls in the final third were more common in the demo? I feel like I never seem them in the retail game, but definitely remember a larger variety of passes in the demo..

Just a roster update? I can't imagine how that could possibly have an effect on custom tactics working, but something seems to have changed from when I started using the live rosters last night.

Roster updates change teams tactics. Example Liverpool after the first roster update uses a 5-3-2. Which was not what they had when the game was released.

A lot of teams change, formation and tactics, with roster updates. If you make customtactics for CPU teams after the roster updates you will have to redo them all.
