Ending Contracts

I noticed playing the other day, starting in FEB. i starting getting some emails (in-game) that a player who's contract that was ending at the end of the year "has decided to sign with another team for next year" does anyone know if we can do the same thing and how?

Yeah, we've been able to do that since like 13 or 14. If a player older than 25 years of age is in the last year of their contract, they can be signed to a new contract by opposing teams from the start of the January transfer window and until the end of June. When you begin the next season, the player will join your team as a pre-signed player. Signing players this way only subtracts limited funds from you transfer budget (i.e. a sign-on fee), however the player's wage will count against your wage budget for the remainder of the season.
